Writers' Building is the official secretariat building of the state government of West Bengal in Kolkata, India. It is located in BBD Bagh, formerly known as Dalhousie Square, and is one of the most iconic buildings in the city. The building was constructed in 1777 and was originally used to house the junior clerks of the British East India.
